Chidex FC and Medical Strikers Qualify for Montage Football Tournament Final
Chidex FC of Bwari and Medical Strikers of Gwagwalada have emerged as finalists of the ongoing Montage Football Tournament at the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Chidex FC defeated Gum FC of AMAC 3-1 in one of the semi-finals played on Wednesday, setting up a final clash against Medical Strikers of Gwagwalada, who defeated ECN FC 2-0 at the Kwali centre.
The final is scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 2025, at the Old Parade Ground, Garki, Abuja.
The 2025 Montage Community Football Tournament kicked off two weeks ago, featuring 24 teams from across the six Area Councils of the FCT.
Reacting to his club’s performance, Chidex FC’s head coach, Mohammed Abdullahi, expressed his joy over the qualification, saying his players had played according to his instructions.
Meanwhile, tournament coordinator, Mr. Raphael Ekpang, has assured fans of a thrilling final, noting that this is the first-ever radio station-organized FCT football tournament.
“This is a final that everyone should try to watch because it’s going to be explosive,” Ekpang said.
Meanwhile, Gum FC of AMAC and ECN of Kwali will slug it out for the third place.
