APC Bomadi LGA Congress: Seleyeibo Emerges Chairman As Andaye congratulates Newly elected Executive
The All Progressives Congress (APC) held a successful Local Government Area Congress in Bomadi on Saturday, resulting in the election of 27 new executives for a four-year term, led by Chairman Perekeme Seleyeibo.
The congress took place in a peaceful atmosphere, attended by notable leaders including lawmaker representating Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency, Hon. Nicholas Mutu,Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Prince Kelly Penawou, past council chairmen, APC chieftains , INEC representative, APC Delta State representatives, the Divisional Police Officer of Bomadi amongst others.
The Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Hon. Dagidi Andaye, shared that a consensus list was developed by the party leaders to establish the local government executive. He urged the new executives to work collaboratively with loyalty to ensure the reelection of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
He also encouraged those who were not elected to support the new executive rather than harbor negativity.
Hon. Andaye expressed gratitude to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for promoting peace within the party. Meanwhile, the immediate past APC Chairman, Kayode Tinaka, thanked members for their support during his tenure.
A motion to affirm the newly elected executive was proposed by Hon. William Angadi and seconded by Hon. Gabriel Yabaka, receiving unanimous approval from all delegates.
Chairman Perekeme Seleyeibo, along with the newly elected executives, expressed their appreciation to the party leaders for ensuring a peaceful process. He emphasized a commitment to inclusivity, aiming to treat all members as one united family.
Members, including Hon. Nicholas Mutu, advised the new executive to maintain unity, particularly when making critical decisions. The successful congress signifies an end to any political discord within the APC in Bomadi, strengthening party cohesion moving forward.
