**Foundation Extends continuous free Medicare to people over 70 years

Over 5000 persons have benefited from the Abdulkabir Aliyu Foundation and Matrix Energy sponsored free medical outreach programme across Warri communities.
The Six days free Medicare began January 24- 25 at Ekurede-Itsekiri venue used was at the Olu Palace in Warri, while at Ubeji and Ifie it held January 31- February 1 at Ogiame Ikenwoli Hospital and the grand finale was at Ode-Itsekiri, (Big Warri) at the Olu Palace Big Hall all with massive turnout of patients meeting different medical doctors to administer free medical consultancy and drug dispenses to those in need.
Speaking at the end of the well organised free Medicare outrage, Dr. Olisa Olusegun a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and Medical Director of Ogiame Ikenwoli Hospital, Ubeji, Says the purpose is to reach out to the people, give them health information about the risk of cancer and other silent killer diseases such as diabetes and hypertension, distribute dispense free drugs to help people that have weak prostrate among others.

Dr. Olusegun who’s also the Coordinator Abdullahi Aliyu foundation noted that the programme was targeted at the elderly, assuring that those that participated in the exercise who are above 70 years will continue to receive free Medicare at Ogiame Ikenwoli Hospital courtesy of the sponsor Abdulkabir Aliyu foundation.
According to the Ogiame Ikenwoli Hospital Medical Director, Dr. Olusegun, the six days outreach concentrated on Prostate Cancer, Prostate Enlargement, Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension as well as distribution of free anti malaria drugs, deworming drugs, antihypertensive drugs, hypoglycaemic drugs and painkillers.
He added that they decided to give back to their host community in Warri Kingdom and feel their health challenges by finding solutions to it, Dr. Olusegun appreciated the Olu of Warri Ogiame Atuwatse III for providing a conducive environment for the programme, he also lauded Alhaji Abdulkadir Aliyu foundation for the funding of the outreach and Matrix Energy for the logistics, technical support and sponsorship of the medical outreach as well as the medical team members especially the Doctors who are mostly of Itsekiri origin and others that made the free Medicare outrage a huge success.
One of the team members of the programme, Dr. Lemadoro Abiodun notes that the Abdulkabir Aliyu foundation has provided free Medicare across all regions of the country. He commended the foundation for their kind services to humanity and Nigerians.
Others who spoke include the Radiologist, Aladesawe Adekunle, National President, Itsekiri Youth Political Forum’, IYPF, Hon. Asawa Sunday and other beneficiaries hailed the sponsor Abdulkabir Aliyu foundation, Matrix Energy, Ogiame Ikenwoli Hospital, Ogiame Atuwatse III and others who made it possible, praying God to bless them and make it sustained.
