Agbon Monarch Distance Self from Omene’s Dispute with Ukoko r’ Ivie

By Odeya Ogbetuo

The Agbon Kingdom Monarch, His Royal Majesty, Michael Omeru, Ogurimerime, Ukori I, JP CON, has debunked the claim and blatant lies published in several online platforms that he was mandated to mediate by Chief Joe Omene on the dispute between his group and Ukoko r’ lvie.

In a press statement from Agbon Palace in Isiokolo, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State, the Monarch maintained that he was never contacted or consulted to mediate on a controversy generated from Chief Joe Omene and his group with the Ukoko r’ Ivie.

HRM Ukori I also distanced himself from all the online publications, saying he was never a part of Chief Omene controversy and was never mandated at any time to resolve the imbroglio between Chief Omene and the Ukoko r’ lvie.

He described those publications as fictitious meant to drag him into the controversy Chief Joe Omene has with the Ukoko r’ Ivie.

The Agbon Monarch noted that those publications were meant to create confusion and problems that will lead to frosty relationships among the people and this should stop immediately.

HRM Ukori I refuted the claim entirely and reaffirmed that he never told Chief Joe Omene that he was mandated by Ukoko r’ Ivie, rather, he called Chief Omene as a friend to advise him to stop going into confrontation with monarchs by withdrawing his group’s court case to save his image, adding that he has since called Chief Joe Omene to quickly correct the wrong impression created by the publication.
