2027: Bomadi Council Boss, Andaye reaffirms Ijaw Nation’s reelection promise to Governor Oborevwori
The executive Chairman of Bomadi local Government council, Hon Rawlings Dagidi Andaye has reaffirmed Ijaw Nation reelection promise to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in 2027.
Hon Andaye made the statement shortly after the grand reception in honour of the state Governor at Bomadi headquarters of Bomadi local Government council area.
The Bomadi council Boss noted that Governor Oborevwor’s commitment to inclusive governance and infrastructural development in riverine areas earned him the endorsement.
Hon Andaye lauded his administration for advancing key projects, including the Torugbene-Ojobo road and the Ayakoromo Bridge, highlighting a shift toward constructive dialogue and partnership for sustainable development.
The Bomadi council Boss commended Deita ijaw traditional Rulers forum for attending the ceremony and for bestowing the title Izonebimiewei on Governor Oborevwori for attracting dividends of Democracy to the various Ijaw communities.
He also thanked the Governor of Bayelsa State, senator Douye Diri for his solidarity support to the Delta Ijaws by attending the grand reception in honour of Delta state Governor.
The event, which drew a massive crowd of traditional rulers, political stakeholders, and youth groups, served as a formal acknowledgement of the Governor’s commitment to his “M.O.R.E Agenda,” particularly his promise that no ethnic nationality in Delta State would be left behind.
