NIGERIA @ 66: We’re very rich Nation- NDP Candidate Warri Federal Constituency, Dr. Mulade, calls for total reawakening
As Nigeria celebrates 66 years of Independence, the National Democratic Party (NDP) Candidate, Comrade Sheriff Mulade PhD, has felicitated with Nigerians and called for a total reawakening.
Comrade Mulade in his Independence Day message issued in Warri, Delta State, Thursday October 1, said Nigeria remains a blessed nation richly endowed with both natural and human resources, but bad leadership has dragged the country backwards.
According to Chief Mulade “Nigeria is not a poor nation. Nigeria is a very rich country blessed with oil, fertile land, and intelligent people. But because of bad leaders, that is why we found ourselves where we are today. The current desperation on board has finished Nigerians. They have grounded the Nigerian economy to fududu. They are using hunger as a weapon to humble Nigerians.”
Speaking further on the forthcoming general elections, the NDP chieftain charged Nigerians to open their eyes and reject vote buying.
“As we approach the general election, I appeal to Nigerians to open their eyes and vote for credible leaders who have their interest at heart. Nigerians must not be bamboozled with rice, wrapper and miserable tokens they give to confuse them to vote for their party. That token will finish tomorrow but the hardship will remain for four years.”
Mulade expressed strong optimism that Nigeria will rise again if leaders become people-centered.
“God has given us all the resources we need. If our leaders can put the people first and consider their subjects first, Nigeria will pick up again. Nigeria will be great again. God bless Nigeria. Happy Independence!”
