Comrade Churchill Oyowe has been re-elected Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Delta State Council, after defeating his closest rival, Comrade Kenneth Obieh, in the council’s election.
Oyowe, who contested under the Consolidation Team, will return for a second term after serving as the incumbent council Chairman.
His victory marks a fresh mandate for the sitting chairman, who secured the support of journalists across the state to defeat Kenneth Obieh in the keenly contested election.
The outcome of the election paves the way for Comrade Oyowe to continue leading the NUJ Delta State Council for another term of three years with expectations that his administration will consolidate on its previous achievements and advance the interests of journalists in Delta’ state.
