2025 President Federation Cup: ‘We’re Ready for the Fight’ – Ibom Angels Goalkeeper Godstime Dickson Declares
As the 2025 President Federation Cup Semifinals take place this Saturday, Ibom Angels’ first-choice goalkeeper, Godstime Dickson, has expressed confidence in the team’s preparation for the encounter against Rivers Angels.
In an interview with the club’s media unit, Dickson stated that the team is thoroughly prepared, both physically and mentally, to face the challenge.
“We’re not leaving any stone unturned,” Dickson said. “We’re ready to give our best to scale through to the final of this year’s competition.”
The goalkeeper, who made two crucial penalty saves against Heartland Queens FC in the quarterfinals, described penalty kicks as unpredictable.
“When it comes to penalty kicks, it’s no man’s game – it’s 50-50. But I will always do my best,” he said.
Dickson urged fans to continue supporting the team, assuring them that Ibom Angels will give their all to succeed.
“I am assuring our dear fans that they should not relent in giving the team their regular maximum support as we will get there for real.
With our preparations for this crucial match so far, I know we can make it as we are prepared for the fight.”
The highly anticipated match is scheduled for 1 pm at the Enyimba International Stadium.
Notably, both teams have a history of competition, having faced each other in the finals of the same competition in 2017 and 2018, with Rivers Angels FC emerging victorious in both encounters.
Rivers Angels FC reached the semifinals by defeating Remo Ladies 3-1 in a penalty shootout.
Ibom Angels’ top scorers are leading the charge, with Abasiofon Uwah topping the list with 7 goals, followed by Ijeoma Onweangba with 5 goals.
Other key goal scorers for the team include Ayishat Raheem, Victory Jacob, and Ugobest Osuji with 2 goals each, and Eyitemi Omagbemi with 1 goal.
