As Delta Clocks 34: Dr. Agbolayah Expresses High Praises for Gov. Oborevwori, Other Past Leaders

The Special Adviser to Delta State Governor on Community Development, Amb. (Dr.) Toyin Orighomisan Agbolayah JP, has expressed deep praise for the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, and other past leaders of the state for their commitment to the remarkable development and progress recorded in the state since 1991, when it was created from the defunct Bendel State.

Dr. Toyin Agbolayah gave the commendation on Wednesday, August 27, in Asaba, the state capital, in commemoration of the 34th anniversary of the state.

The Special Adviser commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and the past leaders for the continued development, peace, and togetherness recorded in the state.

While commending the efforts of past governors of the state towards the accelerated development of the oil-rich Delta, the Special Adviser noted that the state has continued on the path of progress.

He singled out the current Governor of the state, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff Oborevwori, whom he described as an all-around master for his developmental strides recorded across all sectors.

Dr. Agbolayah appreciated Governor Oborevwori for his administration’s massive infrastructural development, as well as initiating laudable people-oriented policies and programs, and hailed him for the ongoing construction of flyovers in Warri and the recent approval of N230 billion worth of projects and the adoption of a mini-grid model approach to revolutionize the electricity sector in Delta State through the MORE Agenda of his administration.

He also commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his recent financial empowerment of 10,000 widows in the state, stressing that the Governor has delivered on his promises to Deltans.

“I know people call him UKODO and our Governor, but I’m trying to change the narrative that he’s not just the Ukodo or the Governor, but the KING OF INFRASTRUCTURE. I thank God that I have the privilege of serving under him, as he has expanded the foundation laid by his predecessors and he is also building on it solidly.

“So on this occasion of our 34th anniversary as a state, all I will continue to wish Deltans, in line with the MORE Agenda mantra of His Excellency the Governor, is the continued peace and progress of the state and her people,” he stated.
