Dr. Agbolayah stated this Friday, May 23, during a meeting with the Forum of Presidents-General across Delta State held at his office in Asaba, the Delta State capital.
The Governor’s Special Adviser urged the Presidents-General to always partner with their communities in taking ownership of government projects cited in their communities in order to avoid vandalism, among others.
Dr. Agbolayah hailed his boss, Governor Oborevwori, for Delta’s transformative two years in office under his watch, assuring him of the support of Deltans in driving his development agenda to greater heights.
Chairman of the Delta State Forum of Presidents-General, Prince Igwe Nzekwe, on behalf of the forum, commended Governor Oborevwori as the forum passed a vote of confidence in Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his achievements in human capital development and infrastructural transformation.
The forum thanked Governor Oborevwori for appointing seven of its members as Senior Special Assistants on Community Development and pledged to support him massively beyond 2027.
The motion for the vote of confidence was moved by the President General of Illah, Ogbuenyi Tony Nwegbu, seconded by the Chairman of Isoko Ethnic Presidents-General, Chief Adonis Iluwere, before it was put to a voice vote by the Special Adviser, Dr. Agbolayah, and was unanimously adopted.
According to Prince Nzekwe, the core mandate of the forum was to champion peace in their communities, synergize with the governor and other stakeholders in attracting the needed development to their areas, and called on government at all levels to brainstorm with communities before embarking on projects.
He pointed out that the forum would adopt proactive strategies to address specific community concerns and conflicts, affirming that no effort would be spared in ensuring peace and security in the state, even as other stakeholders promised to canvas more support for Rt. Hon. Oborevwori for the already visible development being witnessed by all across the state.
