2026: Dr. Agbolayah congratulates Deltans, Traditional rulers, PGs other community stakeholders
**Calls for support to Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda administration
The Special Adviser to the Governor of Delta State on Community Development, Amb. (Dr.) Toyin Orighomisan Agbolayah JP, has congratulated Traditional Rulers, Presidents-General and other community leaders across communities in the state, urging them to approach the new year, 2026 with great optimism for MORE positive impact by the Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s led administration.
He made the call in his New Year Message to Delta Communities, noting that 2026 will be a better year, and a year of greater benefits to the people of Delta State.
The Special Adviser, in the message contained in a statement on Wednesday in Asaba, reaffirmed the Oborevwori’s led administration’s commitment to continue providing quality and more enhanced service delivery to Deltans, and expressed confidence that God would perfect everything concerning Delta and Nigeria in the new year.
Dr. Agbolayah, urged the people to remain prayerful, and trusting that God would do new things for them and the state in the new year.
“With immense gratitude to God Almighty, I welcome you all to a brand new year, 2026. I join you all in giving thanks to God for His guidance and protection all through 2025.
“I appreciate sincerely the unalloyed support and cooperation that the Governor Oborevwori’s administration has enjoyed from Deltans, particularly from our Traditional Rulers, President Generals and other community leaders across all Delta Communities, which has been our source of courage and strength at the Office of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Community Development.
“I salute our collective resolve to continue to live together in peace in spite of the hard times we are living in with lots of economic and other challenges”, Agbolayah stated.
The Special Adviser added that the administration of His Excellency the Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori had in the last three years kept faith with his promises to the people of Delta State.
He urged Deltans to remain peaceful and live in peace with their neighbours which, according to him, is one of the most important element of the MORE agenda.
“As I have always said, particularly during our just concluded 3-Day Seminar and Capacity-Building for Presidents-General and Community Leaders across the three senatorial districts of the state, there is no meaningful development that can take place in an atmosphere of strife and acrimony. It is therefore imperative that we continue to live in peace, so that government can channel the little resources at its disposal to the development of our communities.
“By the grace of God, the year 2026 promises to be a year of God’s blessings to our people, and my prayer is that the Almighty God will meet every Deltan at the point of his or her needs.
“Be assured that we will continue, as always, to ensure that our communities remains secured just as social services, including the provision of adequate infrastructure will be given adequate attention in the new year, by His Excellency the Governor”, he concluded.
