Delta FA congratulates Warri Wolves on NPFL Promotion, hails Gov. Oborevwori’s Support
The Delta State Football Association (DFA) has extended heartfelt congratulations to Warri Wolves Football Club on their successful return to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), following their impressive performance at the NNL Super 8 playoffs in Asaba.
In an official statement, DFA Chairman, Hon. Godwin Adode, lauded the Seasiders’ hard-earned promotion to the elite division, describing it as a proud moment for Delta State football and a reward for months of hard work, discipline, and resilience by the players, technical crew, and management.
Speaking on behalf of the entire football family in Delta State, Hon. Adode expressed sincere appreciation to the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for his unwavering commitment and support, which he said played a pivotal role in the club’s successful campaign.
“We say a big thank you to our sports-loving Governor, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for his fatherly role and consistent contributions to the success of Warri Wolves. His encouragement and investment in football development continue to yield positive results.”
Hon. Adode also commended the Chairman of the Delta State Sports Commission, Hon. Onoriode Oborevwori, for his strategic leadership and dedication throughout the season.
In addition, he hailed the efforts of the General Manager of Warri Wolves, Mr. Neville Ambakederemo, who also serves as Vice Chairman of the DFA, for his commitment and focused approach in guiding the team back to the NPFL.
“The focused leadership of Hon. Onoriode Oborevwori and the hands-on management by Neville Ambakederemo were instrumental in achieving this milestone. Their tireless efforts reflect the new drive in Delta football.”
