It was a golden jubilee Sunday of celebration as Mrs. Azuka Jane Okoye celebrated her 50th birthday.
The birthday, which was held at Shalom Baptist Church, Ekpan, Delta State, on May 11, 2025, was full of fanfare, with the celebrant expressing joy to God through a massive Thanksgiving with congregants.
Mrs. Okoye described her hubby as always a good and very caring man who has shown love to her and their children, praying God to continue to bless and protect him.
She added that in her next world, she would want them both to be husband and wife till eternity.
Here’s the golden jubilee celebrant, Mrs. Azuka Okoye’s expression shortly after the Church Thanksgiving:
“I’m very fine, I’m very happy. To reach this 50 age, it’s not my power, it’s not a joke. I thank God for keeping me alive, for making me witness these 50 years as a thing of joy. I give God all the glory for His support, for His care, for His kindness, for His protection, for the privilege to be among the living. May the name of God be praised in Jesus’ name, Amen.
“I expect more now. I want to live to be more than 130 to 135 years at least. I pray for God to help me reach that destination, and He will give me the strength to carry on.
“He will still give me good health. When you are in good health, you will enjoy every good thing. There will not be any problems, there will not be any crises. God will continue to give me all these good desires of mine. Thank you, Lord.
“I’m a patient woman anytime, with my husband and my children; I’m very patient. I’m always patient with them. I keep myself to avoid any quarrels and to avoid crises in my marriage. That is what I’m doing. I’m always a peaceful woman, always keeping peace in my home, to make sure we continue to live in unity till old age. That is what I’m always doing as a mother. I ask my children always to follow my footsteps, to keep themselves for their husbands, to make sure that they do the right thing at the right time, to ensure that there won’t be any evil, and no bad friends will come and corrupt them. They should keep themselves for their husbands.
“I don’t have friends. I always keep myself together so that my husband will be very happy. I also want to thank God for my husband. He’s a very caring husband. He’s always a good husband to me. I also pray that in my next world, when I’m coming, my husband and I will get married again.
“I appreciate our pastor, Dr. Opate Bright; he’s a very good man. He’s always there to give us good advice concerning our marital home, counseling us to live well, not to be among the people who are divorced, so that our marriage will last. I also want to thank God for how He has been keeping me and my family, for granting us peace and unity. He will continue to keep us together in Jesus’ name.” She stated.”
