The President of God’s Kingdom Society (GKS) Brother Felix Ekundayo Adedokun has called on leaders of various countries of the world to tame and stop the rising cases of violence, insurgency, crisis, wars, kidnapping, mass killings of innocent citizens and other vices have become common phenomenon across the world today.
Brother Adedokun who gave this charge during the 2025 Christian Feast of Tabernacles held at Saint Urhobo Square, Salem City, GKS Headquarters, Warri, Delta State urged those in authority to use their position to alleviate poverty, promote peace, unity, religious harmony, stem down rising cases of corruption and as well promote good governance to the benefit of the people they govern.
He disclosed that human lives and property are being wasted unconsciously due to insensitivity, greed, selfishness, and bigotry of men, adding that it is a common knowledge that in many countries people are distressed because of bad leadership as the justice system has been hijacked by the ruling factors such that the common man cannot get justice.
According to him “There are several of those in office who claim to be in office for the welfare of the people but more interested in the next elections than the public good.
What of those false prophets and religious charlatans who make merchandise of the people by taking advantage of poverty, ignorance, confusion and disillusionment in the land to deceive them with fake promises of miracles, quick riches and ecstatic joy and endless bliss in heaven?”
“Today, the world is being played by authoritarianism, irreligiosity, ethnic religious nationalism, organised crime among others. In several countries, a pattern of violence has been established which left millions dead, towns and villages, and families displaced.
There is widespread poverty and destitution with people working day and night to make ends meet, and yet governments of the world are diverting huge sums of money to funding wars and preparations for war” he added.
Brother Adedokun told the feast celebrants to embrace the truth and practice righteousness and remain faithful to Christ the Saviour of the world.
“It is worthy of note that Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour celebrated the Feast of Tabernacles during his earthly ministry as an example for all Christians. We should therefore emulate his example by celebrating this great feast of the Lord. It is only when man searches for and walks in the path of life God Almighty has established through Jesus Christ – that they shall find rest for their souls.”
In an address entitled: ‘Passing The Time of Our Sojourning Here in Fear’. The GKS President charged the government of the world to fear God and do things that will promote peace and general wellbeing of the people, adding that, “all peoples of the world must avoid short-term materialistic philosophies” and “spend the brief period we have to live on earth in the fear of God, which means abstaining from all appearance of evil”.
