Goals Galore: Ejigbo FA, Igbajo Utd Feeders Win Big In Smartcity Osun State Football League Super Six Opener

The opening fixtures of the Smartcity Osun State Football League Super 6 contest lived up to its billing as fans were treated to a thrilling harvest of goals at the Lt. Gen. TA Lagbaja Sports Centre in Osogbo. The day’s encounters produced a total of 14 goals in both games as Ejigbo FA thumped Mikaj FA 6-2 in a stunning performance that saw Shittu Yusuf grab a hat-trick in style for the winners.
In the other game, Igbajo Utd Feeders put on a show of their own, hammering Crescent FC of Inisa 6-0 Oduoye Bolu and Olayinka Akeem were the heroes for Igbajo Utd Feeders as they scored braces to help their team to a convincing win. The game was a one-sided affair as Crescent FC struggled to cope with the pace and energy of the Igbajo Utd Feeders team.
Coach Okiki Fakayode of Ejigbo FA was ecstatic with his team’s performance, and he didn’t hide his intention of becoming the champions of the league. “We came here to win, and we have taken a good step towards our target,” he said. His counterpart in Igbajo Utd Feeders, Saheed Adeniyi, praised his lads for playing to instructions and said the league was superb, especially in discovering new talents and growing grassroots football in Osun state and Nigeria as a whole.
Shittu Yusuf of Ejigbo FA and Oduoye Bolu of Igbajo Utd Feeders were voted men of the match for their outstanding performances.
