IYC Passes Vote of Confidence on NNPCL GCEO; Ojulari Expresses Solidarity Behind His Transformational Leadership
The Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) has passed a vote of confidence on the NNPCL Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), Engr. Bayo Ojulari, expressing solidarity behind his transformational leadership style.
One of the leaders of the IYC and the National President of the Host Communities Producing Oil, Gas, and Pipeline Impacted States Youth Council of Nigeria, Senior Comrade Emmanuel Pathfinder, in a press conference in Abuja on Friday, August 29, described those who went to carry out protests against Engr. Ojulari as unfortunate, misdirected, miscalculated, and misinformed character assassinations by a group of miscreants under the name of Ijaw Youth Council against the person and office of the Group Chief Executive Officer of the NNPCL, Engr. Bayo Ojulari, and by extension, President Bola Tinubu.
According to Senior Comrade Emmanuel Pathfinder, the majority faction of the IYC is solidly with Engr. Ojulari for his anti-corruption posture in the NNPCL Towers.
The Host Communities Producing Oil, Gas, and Pipeline Impacted States Youth Council of Nigeria (HOSTCOM-YCN), in their solidarity march in Abuja, carried placards with inscriptions such as: “SAY NO TO FALSE ALLEGATIONS, CHEAP BLACKMAIL WITH FRAUDULENT ALLEGATIONS WITHOUT ANY PROOF TO BLACKMAIL AND DENT THE GOOD IMAGE AND INTEGRITY OF ENGR. BAYO OJULARI, THE GMD NNPC LIMITED.”
“HOST COMMUNITIES PRODUCING OIL, GAS, AND PIPELINE IMPACTED STATES YOUTH COUNCIL OF NIGERIA, HOSTCOM YOUTH COUNCIL, SAY NO TO TRIBALISM, SENTIMENT, AND ETHNICITY.”
“PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU, RETAIN ENGR. BAYO OJULARI, THE GROUP CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, NNPC LIMITED.”
“Imposter/Fake Leaders AND OTHERS ARE ENEMIES OF THE TRANSFORMATION POLICIES OF MR. PRESIDENT AND BAYO OJULARI IN THE NATION’S OIL SECTOR.”
“ENGR. BAYO OJULARI HAS REMITTED OVER 20 TRILLION TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT WITHIN JUST FOUR MONTHS.”
Here is the full speech of the HOSTCOM-YCN:
POSITION OF THE HOST COMMUNITIES PRODUCING OIL, GAS, AND PIPELINE IMPACTED STATES YOUTH COUNCIL OF NIGERIA (HOSTCOM-YCN) ON IJAW YOUTH COUNCIL PROTEST AGAINST ENGR. BAYO OJULARI, THE GCEO OF NNPC.
Distinguished Gentlemen of the Press,
“Our attention has been drawn to the unfortunate, misdirected, miscalculated, and misinformed character assassination by a group of miscreants under the name of Ijaw Youth Council against the person and office of the Group Chief Executive Officer of the NNPCL, Engr. Bayo Ojulari, and by extension, President Bola Tinubu.
“The roadmap of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda has fully gained traction and is yielding positive results in the oil and gas industry.
“It is sad that even in the midst of obvious humongous successes in this industry, members of the opposition coalition have tried to paint the NNPCL black.
“We, the members of the Host Communities Producing Oil, Gas, and Pipeline Impacted States Youth Council of Nigeria, are in complete harmony with the Coalition of Niger Delta Ethnic Nationalities Youth Council in condemning the rascality of the Ijaw Youth Council as the handiwork of disgruntled and frustrated kleptomaniac bureaucrats who have planted themselves in the NNPCL and have institutionalized corruption.
“This is a clear case of “if you fight corruption, corruption will fight back.” In the guise of claiming to be saints, these devilish criminals want to change the new order in NNPCL because it does not favor them.
“Let it be known that the Niger Delta region has over 140 ethnic nationalities, and just one of these numerous ethnic groups is infinitesimal, insignificant, and too minute to represent the generality of the 139 majority ethnic nationalities of the Niger Delta.
“Today, as always, we rise in unison, including the majority faction of the IYC, to pass a vote of confidence on the GCEO of NNPCL, Bayo Ojulari, and solidly stand by him, his transformational leadership, and his anti-corruption posture in the Towers.
“Let those who think they can continue looting the common wealth of Nigeria deposited in the Niger Delta face us, and we will tell the world who they are working for.
“We like the way the Petroleum Industry Act is being implemented by the Bola Tinubu administration, and we want these reforms to be properly entrenched for the benefit of our Niger Delta ethnic nationalities.
Dr. AK Etta Peters, National Secretary, Host Communities Producing Oil, Gas, and Pipeline Impacted States Youth Council of Nigeria, for National President, Comrade Emmanuel Pathfinder”.
