Kwara Sports Commission Commends Governor AbdulRazaq as Over 300 Head to Gateway Games 2024
The Kwara State Sports Commission has expressed deep appreciation to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his moral and financial support to Team Kwara as they prepare for the 22nd National Sports Festival, officially commencing on Sunday at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta.
Speaking to journalists before the team’s departure on Friday, the Executive Chairman of the Commission, Mallam Bola Mogaji, described the governor’s backing as unprecedented, noting that the team is traveling with over 300 athletes and officials—the largest contingent in recent years.
“We’ve not had it this good,” Mogaji said. “Thanks to the governor’s unwavering support, our athletes are motivated and fully prepared to make Kwara proud.”
While refraining from setting a specific medal target, Mogaji expressed confidence in the team’s ability to outperform their last outing at the festival.
