Best Talent Football Club of Mowe on Thursday, 11th of December, 2025 played a drab goalless draw away from home against a Lagos based football outfit, Emiloju FC at Legacy Pitch, Surulere, Lagos.
The much anticipated clash, started with the away team dictating the pace and the Ogun State Football giants controlled the game right from the blast of the whistle but stern marksmanship, coupled with the agility of the goalkeeper of Emiloju FC denied them goals.
The pressure almost paid off in the 44th minute of the first half when Fehintola Abiola’s free kick outside the 18-yard box hit the cross bar but Adeyinka Adeyemo’s boys were not lucky enough to break the deadlock.
This caused anxiety among the home fans who have been craving for goals to stop domineering influence of the visitors in their own yard.
In the second half, the home team came alive and their onslaught in the vital area of the visitors nearly caused incursions but could not find the net.
The visitors made frantic efforts to get the winner but lacked the spirit and determination to carry the day.
With the draw, Best Talent FC now played 28 matches, 19 wins, 6 draws and 3 losses which makes them more formidable and compact ahead of the upcoming season.
In his post-match interview, Farouk Yusuf, Coach of Best Talent said he came to Lagos state to get the maximum points against all the teams but his boys did not do badly with the draw. He said.
“The result is not bad; we came prepared to win this game but we got a draw away from home. I think we are satisfied. A lot of positives are noted in this game and this will help us a great deal ahead of the forthcoming season”. The former Coca-Cola Coach posited.
