The Delta State Coordinator of the Southern Women Empowerment Forum (SWEF), Dr. Mrs. Rose Elohor Obi, has urged women to go out and register in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Dr. Obi made the call over the weekend, charging women who are 18 years and older without a permanent voter’s card (PVC) to take advantage of the registration window.

The Delta SWEF Coordinator reiterated that the Southern Women Empowerment Forum is committed to empowering women and promoting their participation in the electoral process. Dr. Obi noted that by working together, women can create a more inclusive and representative democracy that reflects the needs and aspirations of all citizens.

According to Delta SWEF Boss Dr. Obi, “As we approach a critical electoral cycle, it is imperative that women in Delta State take advantage of this opportunity to register and exercise their right to shape the future of our state and nation.

“By registering to vote, women can influence policy decisions that impact their lives, families, and communities.

“We call on all women in Delta State to visit INEC registration centers in their localities and register to vote for the forthcoming elections. Let us take this opportunity to make our voices heard and shape the future of our state and nation at large,” she stressed.
