The Nigeria National League (NNL),has expelled Sporting Supreme Football Club of Abuja for missing two consecutive matches against Jigawa Golden Stars of Dutse and Ranches Bees of Kaduna . The club breached NNL rules (articles 31, 7, 14.9.1, 14.10, and 14.11).
The consequences of the misses is
N10 million fine.
– All matches involving Sporting Supreme have cancelled, points for and against annulled
Sporting Supreme and its management have been placed on a 5-year ban from NNL activities for club and management
Sporting Supreme is the second team after Dakkada to be expelled this season(2025-2026).
NNL Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Danlami Alanana, said the sanctions are deserved as the club’s actions “bring disrepute to the league”.
He emphasized that NNL is a professional league, and clubs must abide by the rules or face consequences.
