Nigerian Boxing Federation Gets Two Seats in African Sub Committees

Two Nigerian Boxing officials have been appointed into various sub committees of the African continent body.

Mr. Emoni Williams of Nigeria has been appointed as Chairman of the Ethics and Disciplinary Committee of the African Boxing body.

The letter of appointment signed by President of the body, Solomon Desmond Kargbo said the appointment “reflects his integrity, professionalism and commitment to upholding the highest ethical standard in the sport across the continent”.

Mr. Kargbo said the African Boxing Group has a trust in Mr. Williams “to help ensure fairness, accountability and adherence to rules of the body”.

In another development, Mr. Abdelilah Oudghhiri of the Royal Moroccan Boxing Federation was appointed the Chairman Technical Committee of the African Boxing League.

Governor of the African Boxing League and the Vice President of the Nigerian Boxing Federation, Hon. Omolei Imadu said his appointment “recognizes his deep technical knowledge, administrative strength and long standing contribution to the development of boxing in Africa”.

A Nigerian technical boxing procedure expert, Mr. Babatunde Laguda was also appointed Secretary General of the Technical Committee of the African Boxing League that specializes in organizes competitions to identify boxing potentials especially young talents from the continent.

The proficient Mr. Laguda will coordinate technical affairs, ensuring compliance with competition standards and supporting policy implementation aimed at strengthening professionalism, fairness and sustainable growth within the league.

 The African Boxing League will involve all the four zones in Africa starting with 15 countries first to keep African Boxers busy but will later involve more countries in the continent.

The Nigerian Boxing family on their platform celebrated the development as a leading Coach said, “all recent developments are unequivocal attestation to manifest return to glorious boxing era for Nigeria”.
