Nigeria Premier League Club Managers Inaugural Coaching Colloquium Closes with Resounding Success
The Nigeria Premier League Club Managers Association (NPLCMA) has successfully concluded its first-ever Capacity Building Colloquium, held from June 26th to 28th, 2025, at the Remo Stars Sports Institute in Ikenne, Ogun State.
The groundbreaking workshop, organized in partnership with the Africa Development Program and AMAPRO, brought together elite resource persons including NFF Technical Director Austin Eguavoen, High Performance Analyst Mohammed Elbadry, and leadership coach Shogo Shodunke.
Over the course of three intensive days, coaches and managers from Nigeria’s top-flight clubs engaged in a rich learning experience, covering critical topics such as advanced training techniques, modern game planning, scientific approaches to coaching, and athlete management.
Participants hailed the workshop as a timely and transformative initiative, with many coaches describing it as “an eye-opener” and “a valuable step forward for the domestic game.”
The event not only met but exceeded expectations, leaving attendees equipped with cutting-edge strategies to elevate their teams and the Nigerian Premier League at large.
Speaking at the close of the event, the Secretary of the NPLCMA, Daniel Ogunmodede, expressed his satisfaction with the successful outcome of the colloquium.
He remarked, “This has been a landmark moment for Nigerian football coaching.
The level of knowledge shared, the engagement of our participants, and the quality of our facilitators have set a new standard. We are committed to building on this momentum and ensuring continuous development for our coaches and clubs.
