2025/2026 NPFL: Abia Warriors Unveil New Season Kit
Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia has unveiled their new home kit for the upcoming 2025/2026 football season. The jersey, made from polyester fabric (known for its resistance to wrinkles, quick drying and durability), features the club’s traditional red color with bold white designs and interwoven black and white accents on the sleeve edges and neck.
The kit includes matching red short and red socks. Produced by Owu Sportswear, a renowned indigenous sportswear company, the jersey is designed to appeal to the club’s supporters and be worn with pride by players and fans alike.
Abia Warriors Chairman, Coach John Sam Obuh, during the brief ceremony expressed gratitude to the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, for his assistance, which he believes contributed to the club’s success in securing a Continental ticket.
The new jersey reflects the club’s ongoing efforts to reposition itself and build capacity. Its unveiling marks the start of the new football season, with Abia Warriors set to compete in the CAF Confederation Cup after finishing third in the last football league season.
The kit’s unique features and design are expected to give the team a sense of pride and identity as they chase domestic glory and fly Nigeria’s flag alongside Kwara United Football Club in the 2025/2026 CAF Confederation Cup competition.
