El-Kanemi Warriors FC Triumph Over Kano Pillars FC In A Thrilling 2–1 Win

El-Kanemi Warriors FC secured a well-deserved 2–1 victory over Kano Pillars FC in a pulsating NPFL Matchday 7 encounter at the El-Kanemi Warriors Stadium, Maiduguri.

The much-anticipated fixture kicked off at 4:00 PM with both sides fielding their star players Captain Zayyad Musa leading the Warriors and Super Eagles captain Ahmad Musa spearheading the Sai Masu Gida.

The Warriors started the game brightly, dominating the first 15 minutes and creating several scoring chances. The best opportunity came in the 9th minute when Abbas Usman linked up beautifully with Al’amin Umar, who set up Mas’ud Danjuma for a close-range strike, but Kano Pillars goalkeeper Abuci produced an outstanding save to deny him.

Coach Kabiru Suleiman Dogo made a tactical change in the 38th minute, introducing Daddy Abdulrahman for Mas’ud Danjuma to strengthen the attack. Despite sustained pressure, the first half ended goalless.

The second half began with Kano Pillars pushing forward with two dangerous counter-attacks. However, the “Babagana Umara Zulum Boys” finally broke the deadlock in the 60th minute when Bilal Yakubu and Al’amin Umar combined with some fine touches to set up Daddy Abdulrahman, who scored a spectacular goal from a tight angle sending the stadium into jubilation.

Kano Pillars equalized in the 79th minute with a well-taken goal that briefly silenced the home fans. But just two minutes later, Daddy Abdulrahman the Kano born Midfielder struck again, scoring his second goal of the day to restore El-Kanemi’s lead.

The Warriors displayed their trademark tiki-taka style of play, maintaining composure and control until the referee signaled full-time.
