RCCG Pst. Agbenson, Charges FG to End Economic Hardship, Christian Killings in Nigeria
The Pastor in Charge of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, King of Glory Parish, Pastor Albert Agbenson, has called on the Federal Government to take urgent and decisive action to improve the living conditions of Nigerians and end the ongoing elimination of Christians in the Nigerian especially in the Northern part.
Speaking to Newsmen during the church’s annual “Long Walk with a Difference” held in Edjeba Town, Warri, Pastor Agbenson a practicing lawyer, expressed deep concern over the worsening security situation and economic hardship facing citizens.
He condemned the persistent attacks on Christian communities in parts of Northern Nigeria, describing them as a genocide that must stop. “Believers are being slaughtered daily without adequate protection or justice,” he said. “The government must act now to end this Christian genocide and fulfill its constitutional duty to protect the lives and property of all Nigerians”.
Pastor Agbenson also criticized the current economic situation, accusing the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, of using hunger as a weapon to destabilize citizens. “When people are hungry and insecure, the nation cannot move forward. Government must address both issues decisively,” he stated.
He further noted that the “Long Walk with a Difference” was held as directed by the General Overseer of RCCG, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, in line with the directive of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN.
Pastor Agbenson called for inclusive policies, accountability, and immediate action to restore public confidence and ensure that Nigerians can live in peace, security, and dignity.
