Olure HCDT Holds First AGM, Commissions Walkways, Townhalls, solar power other four new projects in Delta

**As Multisub Energy reaffirms Commitment to supporting Host Communities’

The Olure Host Communities’ Development Trust (OHCDT) in collaboration with Multisub Energy Limited held its maiden Annual Meeting (AGM) as part of its five-year strategic plan,  commissions Walkways, Town halls, solar powered rural electrification and four others making it total of  seven (7) new projects across host communities in Warri North LGA Delta State.

The event which held Thursday 23rd April 2026 with a tour to the benefiting communities began with Edekougbene, Safa and Eghoro communities.

The detailed commissioned projects include, the construction of community townhall and guesthouse, a 52.1-meter concrete walkway, installation of 14 solar streetlights in Edekou community; the construction of a 300-meter concrete walkway, and installation of a 24kva inverter with a 40kilowatts per hour storage battery in Eghoro community;  construction of three-bedroom cottage in Safa community and the wiring of a hamlet and installation of a 5kva inverter in Tebugbene community.

The Chairman and Managing Director of Multisub Energy Limited, Dr. Igho Okotete, sent his goodwill message through the Chief Operating Officer, COO, Mr. Ena Agbro commended the members of the OHCDT, community leaders for their collaborative efforts in continuously delivering impactful projects in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and adherence to the guidelines from the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC)

The Multisub COO, Mr. Agbro highlighted that new projects which cut across key areas including infrastructure, rural electrification and community development “will in no doubt improve living conditions, enhance safety and support socio-economic activities within our host communities.”

He also acknowledged the continuous support of the NUPRC and Warri North Local Government and reiterated Multisub Energy Limited commitment to investing in its host communities under the framework of the Host Community Development Trust.

Residents of the benefiting communities also expressed their excitement at the enhanced living conditions since the Trust’s was establishment in July 2024.

Community members including the Chairman of Edekougbene community, Mr. Christopher Adikor, Pa. Johnson Ireye of Eghoro community and Madam Eunice Dogun expressed their deep appreciation to the OHCDT and Multisub Energy Limited for its efforts in improving their communities and making it more conducive and secure for them and their children.

The representatives of the Zonal Coordinator (NUPRC) Warri, Mrs. Felicia Akpojishere and Engineer Kingsley Okundia, as well as special guest, the Chairman of Warri North Local Government Council, Hon. Festus Ani Ashima expressed high praises for the OHCDT and Multisub Energy.

Hon. Ashima urged other organisations in the area to emulate Multisub Energy, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in creating the enabling environment for investment and the delivery of projects and programs that enhances the quality of lives of the communities.

The Executive Director, Legal Multisub Energy, Tejiri Okotete, expressed confidence in the Trust’s future plans, enjoining them to “continue upholding the highest standards of governance, transparency and compliance.”

The Olure HCDT Board was inaugurated in July 2024 and ever since, the HCDT have executed projects that improves the livelihood of the people, stimulating socio economic and human capital development in the communities through improving access to quality education, disbursement of bursaries and support for women in micro enterprise amongst other notable programs.

Other officials of Multisub Energy who attended the event include the GM Administration and CSR, Mr. Thomas Akagbosu, Mike Erhirhi, Chris Ashima, Pereji Kpele, and Ms. Madonna Iloba.

Also present at the event were members and representatives of the host communities including Pa. Joseph Oyibo Jakpa; Mr. Kenneth Atsedagho; Bemigho Ebosa; Laye Worwei; Chief Moses Donyabi; Hon. Friday Oyibo, Friday Lelekumo, Senior Kiri, Benson Edekou and McDonald Atake.
