Borno State Government Delegation Arrives Safely In Asaba To Rally Behind El-kanemi Warriors FC
A high powered delegation from the Borno State Government has arrived safely in Asaba to support El-Kanemi Warriors FC ahead of the 2026 President Federation Cup final.
The delegation was received by the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Comrade Saina Buba, whose commitment and tireless efforts in ensuring the team’s successful preparations have continued to earn widespread commendation.
According to GAGA Media Director El-Kanemi Warriors FC, The delegation includes the Distinguished Senator Kaka Shehu Lawan, SAN, representing Borno Central Senatorial District; Hon. Abdulkadir Rahis, Member representing Maiduguri Metropolitan Council in the House of Representatives; Hon. Bukar Talba, Member representing Monguno/Nganzai Federal Constituency, the Speaker of the Borno State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abdulkarim Lawan, Hon. KTK, Hon. Zakaria Dikwa, Hon. Babale Kwaya Kusar; and several other political office holders.
Speaking shortly after the team’s final training session, the General Manager of El-Kanemi Warriors FC, Alhaji Abubakar Suleiman (BOSEPA), expressed gratitude for the support received.
“Alhamdulillah, we arrived safely in Asaba. I sincerely appreciate the Honourable Commissioner for his tireless efforts in ensuring that everything is handled professionally. I am impressed with the spirit, determination, and commitment displayed by the players during training. They are highly motivated, and In Sha Allah, victory will be ours. We look forward to returning to Maiduguri to celebrate this achievement with our people.”
He also commended the Executive Governor of Borno State for his huge investment in sports development, noting that the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development has remained committed to complementing the Governor’s vision for sporting excellence in the state.
