The Special Adviser to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State on Community Development, Amb Dr. Toyin Agbolayah JP, has commended the officers and men of the Nigeria Navy Ship, NNS Delta, for their role in protecting critical asset infrastructure across Delta State.

Amb. Dr. Agbolayah made this commendation Wednesday, February 11, during a courtesy visit to the new Commanding Officer, NNS Delta Ship, Commodore Mohammed Shehu Tasiu, at his office in Warri, Delta State.

Dr. Agbolayah was accompanied by other political appointees under his office and other government functionaries, including the Executive Assistant to the Governor, Barr. Leader Eju; Senior Special Assistant, SSA, Political, Hon. Francis Obule; and Rev. Canon David Otofia, expressing strong determination to always partner in creating a peaceful operational environment for all companies doing business in Delta’s marine environment and beyond.

He stressed that the essence of the visit is to seek more collaboration with the Navy in maintaining law and order with host communities where oil companies are operating for civil law and calm, adding that it is in tandem with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda in developing the state.

While thanking the Navy for their support and the good job they are doing in Delta, Dr. Agbolayah welcomed the new Commanding Officer to Warri and wished him better service.

The Commanding Officer NNS Delta Ship, Commodore Mohammed Shehu Tasiu, appreciated the Special Adviser to Governor Oborevwori on Community Development, Amb Dr. Agbolayah, for the visit with other political appointees. He emphasized that engaging with host communities is the key to security success.

Commodore Tasiu assured that ensuring peace and security shall be his main agenda as the Commander NNS Delta and that with the support and understanding, they need the people to succeed.

The Navy boss promised to collaborate with the office of the Special Adviser to Governor Oborevwori on Community Development and to also work with the youth leaders in resolving issues in order to avert a breakdown of law and order.

Dr. Agbolayah was accompanied by other political appointees of Governor Oborevwori on the visit, including Mr. Andrew Agbi, PST. Paul Bikawei, SSA, Idowu Paul, Chief Okorodudu Eyakore, Gbninije Fidelis SSA, Matthew Ikperikpe Mao, SSA, Hon. Emmanuel Adun, SSA, Jolly Ogbe, Chief Okumagba Sylvester Femi, SSA, Elder Iyeye Martins, SA, Mrs. Flora Adebayo, OSUSU Ejiro, SA, Jarikre Sunday, Edwin Ukpibor, Comrade Edafe Elliott, and Duke Ufuoma Barho.
