Ikenne: NFCA Applauds NPFL Elite Coaches Forum For Pioneering Coaching Colloquium
The Nigeria Football Coaches Association (NFCA) celebrates the successful staging of the inaugural End-of-Season Coaching Colloquium, organized by the NPFL Elite Coaches Forum in Ikenne, Ogun State.
This landmark forum was to bring together all 20 head coaches from the Nigeria Premier Football League, an innovative collaboration aimed at enhancing tactical knowledge, embracing modern coaching tools, and reinforcing peer-to-peer learning .
A special acknowledgment goes to Coach Gbenga Ogunbote and his team that include Daniel Ogunmodede, whose leadership and vision made this initiative a reality. The organizational acumen ensured that NPFL coaches could exchange valuable insights and strategies in a professional setting.
We recognize the support from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) through it’s president, Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau, Hon. Kunle Soname, AMAPRO Football Initiative, and the NPFL Chairman, Otunba Gbenga Elegbeleye, whose call for technology-driven coaching underpinned the forum’s forward-thinking agenda, we also thank NFF Technical Director, Coach Austin Eguavoen, for enriching the discussions with his technical expertise.
The Forum received an applaud and support of NFCA President, Dr. Isah Ladan Bosso, who is proudly one of the 20 head coaches in the NPFL. Though was originally scheduled to deliver a paper during the inaugural session of the colloquium, but was unavoidably absent due to urgent assignments beyond his control. Nonetheless, Dr. Bosso gave his full blessings, shared encouraging words with the forum’s leadership, and continues to remain solidly behind every effort aimed at elevating coaching standards in the country.
This Colloquium represents a critical step toward cultivating a vibrant culture of continuous learning in Nigerian coaching. The NFCA urges that this momentum be sustained and built upon, to elevate coaching standards across all tiers of Nigerian football.
