Isoko have been in darkness for 10 years – Prof. Akpotu, Blasts Aniagwu for telling lies against isoko power situation

The President General Isoko Development Union, IDU, Prof. Christopher Akpotu says Isoko have been in darkness for over 10 years with out electricity.
Prof. Akpotu who was speaking on AIT Kakaaki morning show Tuesday June 16 took a swipe at the Delta State Commissioner for Works Rural and Urban & Public Information Charles Ehiedu Aniagwu for saying Isoko Nation is owing light bills hence they don’t have light supply.
He countered Mr. Aniagwu saying the commissioner lacks the proper brief to speak about the power situation in Isoko, noting that it is only the commissioner for Power and Energy that is supposed to comment about the non availability of electricity in Isoko Nation in order not to mislead people as he has done.
Prof Akpotu while responding to what he termed as “lies told by Aniagwu against isoko power situation” on AIT said the Public Information Commissioner should be mentally alert and properly informed to speak about issues he no nothing about.
He however cautioned him to retract his false statements made against Isoko Nation electricity situation as the Isoko Indigenes are planning massive protest tagged “No Power, No Campaign Action’ against the government.
According to the Isoko Development Union President, Prof. Akpotu Isoko people from Irri, Oleh, Olomoro Ozoro, Ofagbe, Aradhe and other towns both in Isoko North and South LGAs are in total Black out despite being the highest crude oil producer in Delta State with over Eight flow stations of oil insulations.
When asked if he has written to Delta State Governor Rt Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Prof. Akpotu responded no that the governor has been speaking out over power power situation in order parts of the state showing commitment to resolve other areas, he however believed that the Governor being a listening government will listen and intervene.
