NPFL Deducts Three Points, Three Goals From Inter Lagos see why
The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has deducted three points and three goals from Inter Lagos following an assault on match officials during their Matchday 7 fixture against Katsina United.
The Lagos-based club was also fined a total of N5.25 million after its officials and supporters were found to have intimidated, harassed and verbally abused the referees.
According to the sanctions, the first assistant referee sustained a facial injury, while personal belongings were reportedly taken and his phone damaged during the incident.
Inter Lagos have 48 hours to appeal the sanctions.
