Warri: DBS Sports Club Installs Amb. Dr. Mrs. Obi as First Female Patroness

Delta Broadcasting Service, DBS Sports Club, Warri has installed Amb. Dr. Mrs. Rose Obi as the first female Patroness of the club.
The installation, which was held on Saturday, January 24, at the premises of DBS, Warri, was conducted by the General Manager of Delta Broadcasting Service, PST. Malcom Oteri.
While reacting to her inauguration, Amb. Mrs. Obi said she’s highly excited to be installed as the first female Patroness of DBS Sports Club Warri, adding that she’s very passionate about sports, emphasizing the importance of sports to the well-being of humans.
Amb. Mrs. Obi stressed that her agenda as the first female Patroness of the club will be to improve the club and explore new ideas to better it.
Dr. Mrs. Obi commended the patrons of the club, Hon. Nze Francis Onuorah, Chief Felix Okwelum, Dr. Ossai, and all members of the club for their support and unanimous nomination.
Deacon Fred Obi described his wife as a woman of substance, an industrious woman, and a lover of good things, assuring that she’s going to deliver, even as he appreciated all for their support.
PST. Oteri commended Mrs. Obi on her elevation as the first Patroness of DBS Sports Club, admonishing her to use the position to uplift the club to higher heights.
He also hailed the coordinator of the club, Mr. Louis Nushe, for growing and advancing it, charging him and the members to continue growing the club.
The Coordinator of DBS Sports club, Mr. Louis Nushe described Mrs. Obi as a wholesome person who has been deeply committed to the growth of the club with her ever dogged consistency and support.
Mr. Nushe congratulated the new patroness for the historic elevation wishing her more excellent achievements.
One of the special guests at the event, John Tacha, a staff member of the FRSC, congratulated Mrs. Obi on her appointment, saying he’s very happy to be a part of the activities and promised to join the club.
