Katsina United Receive Invitation To NPFL Super 6 Pre-season Tournament In Jos
Katsina United Football Club have received an official invitation to participate in the upcoming NPFL Super 6 Pre-Season Tournament scheduled to take place in Jos, Plateau State.
The invitation was conveyed in a letter dated 17th August 2026, addressed to the Club Chairman/Supervising Coordinator, Surajo Malumfashi, and signed by the NPFL Chief Operating Officer, Davidson Owumi.
According to the invitation, the tournament is expected to commence on Wednesday, 19th August 2026, at the Jos City Stadium.
The pre-season competition is designed to provide an important platform for clubs participating in continental competitions, alongside selected NPFL sides, to fine-tune their squads ahead of the 2026/2027 NPFL season.
For Katsina United, the tournament will offer the technical crew an opportunity to assess their squad, give new and emerging players valuable playing time, and further prepare the team for the demands of the new league season.
The competition will also serve as a platform for participating clubs to feature and evaluate players who are expected to compete for places in their respective squads during the 2026/2027 NPFL campaign.
Katsina United’s invitation comes as the club continues preparations for the new season, with the team’s participation expected to provide another significant test following their involvement in the ongoing Gusau/Ahlan Pre-Season Tournament in Katsina.
The Jos tournament is therefore expected to attract significant attention as clubs use the competition to sharpen their squads, test their tactical plans and build match fitness ahead of the new NPFL season.
