IYC President Sir Lokpobiri celebrates birthday in grand style

The 9th Ijaw Youth Council President, Sir Jonathan Lokpobiri, celebrated his birthday in grand style on Saturday, October 25.
The celebration, which took place at the IYC Secretariat, Ijaw House in Amarata, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital, drew the attendance of many bigwigs from the IYC family.
While speaking at the ceremony, the Central Youth Chairman, Comrade Peres Inefie, said he learned a lot from Sir Jonathan Lokpobiri because he has the quality of leadership charisma whereby he only stands for the truth; on that aspect, no one can bend him.
He added that with the positive leadership style the IYC president possesses, many Ijaw youths learned from him based on positive deliberations.
The National Executive of the IYC on Mobilization, Comrade Aris Fekorogha, vividly spoke on the occasion, describing Sir Jonathan Lokpobiri’s leadership style since aspiring to the position of Central IYC Youth Chairman, stating that the National Executive has confidence in his proactive leadership style to champion the 9th IYC executive positively; that is why the executive body cannot have any internal dispute, he added.
Former National Woman Leader of IYC, Comrade Egbesu, described Sir Jonathan Lokpobiri as someone who is fearless in the agitation for the rights of the Ijaws, adding that she has confidence in his reliable leadership style, as she has worked with him on different occasions where she saw good input of leadership doggedness in him. Comrade Egbesu also used the medium to appeal to everyone to join hands with Sir Jonathan Lokpobiri to champion the struggle amicably.
The celebrant, Sir Jonathan Lokpobiri, the 9th National Youth President of IYC, appreciated everyone who came to celebrate with him on his birthday despite their busy schedules, stating that he is short of words seeing the surprise packages.
Sir Lokpobiri assured the people that he will not fail in the confidence the Ijaw Nation has in him, stressing that the 10th National Executive will be there for the Ijaw Nation to ensure its legitimate rights cannot be denied.
