Delta Council for Islamic Affairs congratulate Gov. Oborevwori, DTHA Speaker Guwor, assures of Muslims support to administrations success

Delta Council For Islamic Affairs, DSCIA, the umbrella body in charge of the Muslims in the state has wholeheartedly congratulated His Excellency, Rt Hon, Sheriff Oborevwori the executive Governor of Delta State and the recently elected and sworn in Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor as well the new Secretary to the Delta State Government, Dr. Kingsley Emu.

The Delta State Council for Islamic Affairs in their goodwill message Friday June 16, 2023 is also felicitating with all members of the DTHA, Delta State National Assembly members inaugurated and others, they are wishing them a prosperous tenure of development representation.

Vice President General of Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, NSCIA and Chairman Delta State Council for Islamic Affairs, DSCIA, Sheikh Yahaya Mohammed Ufuoma assured Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Muslims support to ensuring his administration’s success as well contribute meaningfully to the advancement of the state.

Sheik Yahaya Mohammed Ufuoma used the opportunity to call on Muslims to corporate with the government to ensure peace and security in the state.

According to the congratulatory message to the Delta State government by the Delta State Council for Islamic Affairs, DSCIA, signed by the Chairman Delta State Council for Islamic Affairs, DSCIA, Sheikh Yahaya Mohammed Ufuoma and Secretary General of Delta state Council for Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Ahmed Alakpa, reads thus,,:

“We are also using this medium to call on all the Muslims in the state to cooperate with the new government and be a law abiding Muslims in the state, as been stated in the Qur’an chapter 4:59, Allah the Almighty said: “…obey Allah and his messenger (prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him ) and those in authorities”

They also urged the government to continually support the group and improve on welfare of members and the people as they are ready to partner the government to do more for all irrespective of religion and tribe.
