**Flags off grants worth millions of Naira for Host Community Women, Students Scholarships with 70 beneficiaries

The Chairman and Managing Director of an Indigenous Oil Exploration Company, Multisub Energy Limited, Dr. Igho Okotete, says the company in its execution of the Petroleum Industry Act through the Olure Host Community Development Trust, OHCDT is consolidating on the approved 5-year Community Development Plan by Multisub Energy with its host communities that directly supports human capital development through bursary grants to undergraduate students and financial support to women to boost their respective trades and businesses.
Dr. Okotete stated this Wednesday, June 11, at Koko headquarters of Warri North Local Government Area, Delta State, during the flag-off Support for Women in Microenterprise (SWIM) and the Bursary Grants for Undergraduates within its host communities.
As over 70 women and student beneficiaries receive grants worth millions of Naira.
While flagging off the presentation, the Chairman/Managing Director of Multisub Energy Limited, Dr. Igho Okotete, commended the Olure Host Community Development Trust (OHCDT) for the impressive pace of their project delivery, noting that it was only three months ago that they gathered to commission the Trust’s inaugural quick impact projects, which included the furnishing and renovation of Abonkuwa Primary School and walkway projects at Eghoro community, as well as the installation of 70 solar streetlights across several communities in Ikeyan and Safa Ogbin, adding that the projects were received positively, with much appreciation from the people.

Multisub Energy Limited Chairman and Managing Director, Dr. Okotete, was represented by Mr. Thomas Akagbosu, General Manager Administration and Corporate Social Responsibility, who disclosed that the SWIM empowerment is for female entrepreneurs, women in their host communities who run small and micro businesses.
According to him, it is said that “when you empower a woman, you empower a nation.” By supporting women with financial grants and business training, we are contributing to household income, economic resilience, and overall community well-being.
A total of 40 women were empowered with the sum of 200,000 Naira each, and 30 students benefited from 150,000 Naira each from the bursary scheme, which is designed to assist the students in defraying the cost of books and other educational materials as part of the intervention in encouraging academic pursuit and reducing financial stress on families.

The Chief Operating Officer of Multisub Energy Limited, Mr. Ena Agbro, in his goodwill message, commended the support and collaboration of OHCDT and the communities’ leadership for the enabling environment and peace to operate.
Nigeria Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) Warri Regional Coordinator, Chief Engr. Ogunnubi Benjamin, was represented by Engr. Okundia Kingsley and Mrs. Akpojisheri Felicia, both commended Multisub Energy Limited and Olure Host Community Development Trust for the support granted to the women and youths, urging beneficiaries to make good use of the grants provided.
Chairman of Warri North Local Government Area, Hon. Festus Ashima, represented by Mr. Monday Ogboko, appreciated Multisub Energy Limited and the Olure HCDT for the grant and bursary support to the communities, assuring the company of continuously providing an enabling environment for companies to do business, as Warri North is open for more investors to come in and operate.
Representatives of the women from Eghoro Community, Ughamiyemi Eyefuijirin, and Ariri Patience from Ikeyan Community lauded Multisub Energy Limited for the grant and scholarship support to the people, assuring them of continuous collaboration moving forward.
Others present during the event included Jonathan Ireye, Elders Council Member, Eghoro Community; Pa Joseph Oyibo Jakpa; Mr. Kenneth Atsedagho; Bemigho Ebosa; Mr. Benson Edekou; Laye Worwei; Chief Moses Donyabi; Timidi Ariri representing the communities.
