The eagerly anticipated draws were conducted today at the Jos South Council Secretariat along Bukuru Express Way, Jos.

The 16-team tournament draw was conducted transparently to the satisfaction of all team coaches present as well as all other participants.

According to the draws, Group A has Kuru A, JOSAFA, Zawan A and Kushe All Stars. Group B has Zawan B, Giring, Gyel A and Gutsy United, Group C will see Turu, Gyel B, Du A and Du B battle it out while Group D features Bukuru, Du A Utd, Vwang Ward and Kuru B.

The Council Chairman, Hon. Silas Dung, described the tournament as the fulfillment of one of his campaign promises;

Hon. Dung recalled back to the mid 90s when he himself played in the Chairman’s Cup Tournament, reiterated his full commitment to the success of the competition as according to him, it will restore the lost glory of the locality and unite the people.

The visibly elated Council Chairman went on to announce that the Tournament will commence on Monday, 25th May, 2026, starting with Gyel A taking on Gutsy United at the Bukuru Mini Stadium where opening ceremony begins by 2pm.

Chairman of the Plateau State Football Association, Hon.
